Soil Vapor (Voc's Off Gas and LEL) will be blocked by A 20 mil Polyethylene Membrane. The liner will be installed in the crawl space over the soil.

Foam insulation will adhere to the wooden floor in the crawl space.
The closed cell foam is 99% impermeable as compared to fiber glass insulation.

Leaks in Heating Ducts can be costly in energy. But the main point of this project is to stop the intrusion of vapor. Any small opening in the seam is an entry location for vapor. This will be wrapped and closed to prevent indoor delivery of toxic vapor.
